You would most likely love it! I mean eveyone would obviously want a supercharger but they are expensive for sure. It should go on very easy and give very limited headaches down the road. Extra power is what life is about and you will probably pick up a couple MPGs on the highway when you foot isn't in it. WIN WIN. Downsides are the cost and instalation time if you have somebody else do it.

Also, i meant to say that I have experience with both kits and they both are high quality and go on great.

NP.
Although, the 4000$ one doesn't include an intercooler, even though it states that the design uses one. By contrast the intercooler on the $6000 one is included, although, it's not really a big one. $2000 could probably buy a bigger/better intercooler, but good luck making it fit with a custom housing and whatnot.

Which one do you think is better? The Edelbrock is newer and claims more power but it's also more money. I'm also curious the full extent of reliability issues they could have. How will it effect the lifespan of the engine? ( take reliability advice from "mycarneverruns87". Smart move MtrRider.)
As for fuel economy... Not gonna happen. My foot doesn't leave the floor unless there's a cop behind me.
This is all purely hypothetical of course... :)

Hahahaha about the refrence to my username lol.
Edelbrock is making great kits for many many models and they stand behind their stuff. Their R&D is top notch. My only gripe with thier kits are that they are very heavy and look funky imo.
I have a thing for the whipple twin screw blowers but they haven't updated the basic design quite as much as the Edelbrock product. that being said, I am a penny pincher and would buy the whipple if it were my money based just on cost and looks. Pulley, exhaust, custom tuning, ported heads, ect. can get the power of the Edelbrock but of course that is extra time and money.
For simplicity, both kits are great and will do the job. One is the newest teck and the other is older but proven tech for a lesser cost. You really can't lose on this. If you want the most power and the newest teck the Edelbrock is the only answer.

Is the Edelbrock TVS based? I believe the whipple is technically still more efficient because it is a twin screw.
I have a friend who was debating between the edelbrock and whipple for his 4.6 3V, both will do a fine job blowing up his stock engine and trans so its kind of a moot point. For big power I'd go the whipple route.
